Our analytical laboratory is capable of analyzing all natural attenuation demonstration parameters, dissolved gases, 1,4 Dioxane, VOCs (by headspace method- non certified), organic acids, and microbiological testing. Our laboratory partners complement our services with analysis for cyanide, metals and semi-volatiles.

BTC also conducts application based research on its own and for clients. We are currently researching the use of BTC's proprietary microbes to upgrade CO₂ to CH₄ in an economic and ecologically sound system. BTC's scientists are also investigating direct anaerobic and aerobic 1,4 Dioxane degraders, as well as nitrate and sulfate reducers that can degrade thousands of mg/L of various hydrocarbons.

Our combined science and engineering skills allow us to design experiments to reduce actual field testing and enable the design engineer to have the maximum information for the least cost. A well conducted microcosm test, in combination with field hydraulic testing can eliminate the need for pilot scale testing. This is especially the case if BTC's experienced staff designs and conducts the microcosm and hydraulic testing.
